In Memory

Kathy Zeliff (Hogan)

Just recently was made aware by former classmate Allen Armstrong that his cousin, classmate Kathy Zeliff had passed on 10/28/2020. According to Allen, Kathy was married to Steve Stout for many years.  A devout Catholic, she was dedicated to Holy Angels Catholic Church and School.  She had no children but was very close to many family members including Allen's sister and enjoyed family gatherings of all kinds.  After graduating TCHS, Kathy started working and spent many years employed by Stanley Hardware until she started her own very successful online door hardware business.  Unfortunately, Kathy had medical issues, some of which stemmed back into the 90's and more recently had a brain injury requiring constant care.  She passed with her husband by her side.  Her ashes were scattered on the island of Hawaii, where they were married as was her wish.  Rest in Peace Kathy.

I was saddened to hear of Kathy Zellifs passing this morning.  As I mentioned in my profile, one of my fondest memories of high school was graduation and how Kathy, following behind me in the procession to our chairs, stepped on my flip flop gently pushed me which caused a domino effect that sent about 10 of us to the ground.  I remeber her as being  light hearted and somewhat funny.  Hearing about her commitment to her faith has made me reflect upon my upbringing in the catholic church. Lately I am trying hard to reconnect to a lot of things that I have left behind that are important, faith, friends and commitment to life.  To all, Good health, safe travels and peace in life.  Stan Zielinski

I agree, that was a fun memory Stan shared!  It's a shame no one was there with a cell phone to capture the moment!  I just remember Kathy had a great smile and didn't use it sparingly. May she rest in peace.
